The LED bookmark is designed for maximum functionality in a small, sleek package

Late night readers that can't put down their book understand the importance of a light that allows you to keep reading without disturbing a sleeping partner beside you. A bookmark designed by Kyouei Design combines form and function to make a beautiful flat LED bookmark that lights up when folded.

Designed by Kyouei founder Kouichi Okamoto, the bookmark features silver nanoparticle ink that illuminates two small clear liquid crystals that are activated by holding a lithium coin battery between its two sides. The book that is manufactured on transparent material shows the interesting pattern made by the electrical grid that powers the light.
