A film company inked people with its only trophy so anyone can leave Cannes with a lion

The German film production company, Bubbles Film, won a Cannes Lion award three years ago. Rather than proudly display the award for ages to come, the company melted the bronze award down to extract the copper and infuse it into tattoo ink. The company then used the ink on Cannes Lions contenders for this year’s festival.

The project came alive under the name ‘Award Ink Studio,” which was open and available in Cannes during the International Advertising Festival.

The main purpose of this was to provide a unique opportunity to all those contending for an award. Participants were able to take home a piece of a Cannes Lions award that will permanently remain as a celebration of their work.
