No two covers of these seminal titles published by Penguin are exactly alike

Book publisher Penguin has reissued three books by Richard Dawkins that carry unique book jackets. The Blind Watchmaker features ‘biomorphs’ (representing insects), Climbing Mount Improbable has shells, and Unweaving the Rainbow features wave patterns.

These unique covers celebrate the anniversary of Dawkins’ suite of computer programs demonstrating evolution in action, which he created thirty years ago. Penguin has brought Dawkins’ unique programs (or ‘biomorphs’) back to life and launched a new interactive space at mountimprobable.com, where visitors can play with them. The site has been built from Dawkins’ original source code and developed by Penguin’s Creative Technology team. Each book also features a unique code that will take the reader straight to their biomorph on the website.
