According to the American Institute of CPAs, 72 percent of C-level executives say that delays in getting the right information in front of the right people have torpedoed at least one major effort. Siloed functions within organizations inhibit the transparent communication and collaboration required to meet the demands of a marketplace that is defined by flux. As more of the core products and services that companies offer to their customers, clients and partners have at least some digital aspect, the traditional process of cumbersome development cycles that happen at pre-planned times throughout the year are no longer tenable. Instead, companies need to adopt a more responsive model that allows for continuous, incremental improvements.
