WeCount is a new platform that enables straightforward donations to the homeless

On June 1st, WeCount was released as a peer-to-peer service app that lets the homeless get what they need by connecting them to donors. Based on the Seattle area, the app aims to build a stronger community by creating a simple way for the homeless to request specific items they need to get by.

Members can sign up to either donate or seek assistance from others in their nearby communities. Anyone can create a post on what they need and will be directly connected to a donor and a partner organization. A donor can drop off any items at a partner organization to be picked up by the person in need. This system protects the identity of all users. A website is also accessible through any computer with internet connection.
