ReGen Villages is a global development company that aims to tackle global issues through self-sufficient buildings

By 2050 the world’s population will be close to 10 billion and the size of the aspiring class will double to 4 billion. Water and food resources, as well as land and housing, are already at the forefront of pressing global issues. ReGen Villages is a global development company, partnered with the Danish architectural framework partners EFFEKT, working to solve these issues through a new type of tech-integrated housing development designed to specifically address these challenges.

Presented inside the Danish Pavilion during the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale, the ‘regenerative neighborhood’ is designed to be fully self-sustaining, combining technologies such as renewable energy, organic food production and water management.
