Custom-made bands were designed to flash to the rhythm of the wearer's heartbeat

Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund HCF gave fans of the Australian rules football club Sydney Swans the chance to see their heartbeats light up the stadium in a club-first experience. 5,000 HCF Flash Bands were distributed in an effort to find the team’s most passionate fans.

The heart-monitoring wristbands flashed to the rhythm of the wearer’s heartbeat, providing a visual representation of the excitement and passion felt by the fans for their team. The data was also aggregated to create a visualization of a unified heartbeat on the screen inside the stadium at key points during the match.
