This clever clock was designed to highlight the pay wage gap between men and women

MTV's Look Different campaign and creative lab PARTY NYC partnered to create an alarm clock that will raise awareness about the wage gap. In the U.S., a woman who works full-time gets paid 79 percent of a man's salary, and the gap is even greater for women of color. The 79% Work Clock will ring when that portion of the day is through.

For a white woman who works from 9AM to 5PM, the alarm clock will go off at 3:20PM (the specific percentage/time changes depending on race: for a Hispanic or Latina woman, the alarm will go off at at 1:24PM).
