Campaign Pits Professional Drivers Against Their Virtual Selves
Castrol has launched a new campaign that uses AR to create avatars to race against
World-class racing drivers compete with their virtual selves in Castrol EDGE advertisement titled “Clone Rival.” Under extreme pressure drivers had to harness their skill and concentration to beat their digital clone. The drivers trained virtually at Titanium Lab on a cutting-edge simulator to record their ‘Ultimate Lap.’
This is the fourth Trial from the Castrol EDGE Titanium Trials series and involves two of the most iconic cars in the world: the Koenigsegg One:1 and the track-only Aston Martin Vulcan. The advert was directed by the acclaimed ‘Jako,’ who has worked on action features including The Fast and the Furious, Gladiator and the Bond movies. The advertisement marks the launch of the latest oil from Castrol, EDGE SUPERCAR.
