The Container Store is betting on a new device to help employees talk with each other and deliver relevant information to customers

To the shopper casually browsing a large store, the way employees use the overhead system to communicate with each other in obscure codes must seem rather antiquated. The Container Store will soon be replacing walkie-talkies and their broadcasts with a voice-activated wearable developed by Theatro that answers questions like Amazon Echo or Siri. It also offers employees instant access to a variety of information: they can check inventory and request items from the stock room without rushing to a computer.
