The visual discovery app Blippar helps you discover a plant's name, genus, native region and more

Visual discovery app Blippar now lets people identify different flowers by scanning them. Using artificial intelligence and computer vision, it figures out exactly which flower they're looking at and provides a wealth of information about it. You can find out the name of the plant, the genus, its native region, the best growing conditions and its cultural significance.

For example, if you used Blippar on a rose, you could use the knowledge graph to see what it's connected to, look at other species of roses, discover the etymology of the word “Rose” and much more. Blippar's knowledge graph functions similarly to human thought processes, helping those with curious minds discover more about the flowers they see around them.
