Stuck on a date you want to get out of? This app will match you with someone else in the same situation

Bod (Bad Online Dates) is a dating app that wants to help you turn a bad date into an opportunity. The matchmaking service will pair you with nearby users who are also looking to escape awkward dates.

Bod founders say it’s “an opportunity no other site or app can provide—a redesigned approach to dating, one that returns control of their bad date night.” There won’t be much flirting or texting, just a match based on distance, time, and the mutual desire to run away from someone else. Of course, there’s no guarantee that the second date will be any improvement over the first one but at least there’s the certainty that both parties will have something to gripe about.
