French designer Philippe Starck has created a line of footwear with fashion brand Ipanema that uses repurposed materials

Legendary designer Philippe Starck has partnered with Brazilian fashion brand Ipanema to develop a minimalist summer footwear line. Created using 30% recycled materials, the sandals and flip-flops come in a range of simple yet striking styles. This is not the first time Starck has ventured into sustainable products, with previous collaborations seeing a suite of furniture with Emeco and a series of taps for Axor.

The differing footwear styles range from simple flats with a strap and toe bar to more elaborate sandals; each of the elements are produced using a plastic mould injection technique.
