An augmented reality company has been working to make holographic singing a reality

With the right group, karaoke is always a fun time. VNTANA, the augmented reality company, created a way to make the experience even better: for the first time, anyone can turn themselves into a hologram and sing some tunes.

Hologram karaoke will make an eye-catching appearance at this summer's Counting Crows concert with Rob Thomas. Fans who purchase a VIP package get to pick from one of three of Rob Thomas' songs. While they sing a song, their hologram will be projected next to Rob Thomas. The result will hopefully be an awesome duet that will be proliferated throughout social media channels. The interactive hologram promises to feel like a realistic experience.
