Sony Upcycles Wires Into Fashionable Accessories
The swimwear label AURIA worked with the tech company to give old devices a second life
With the rise in popularity of Bluetooth headphones, wires are being pushed off shelves. That’s why Sony and swimwear label AURIA teamed up to figure out what to do with extra cables. The result? Five stunning accessories made from recycled headphone wires.
The travel-inspired capsule collection is dubbed “Fashion Unplugged.” The beautifully crafted items make good use of cables otherwise dumped in trash. Braided or coiled around functional shapes, the cables lend the accessories a beautiful texture.
