StubHub is using virtual reality as part of the customer decision journey before a purchase

eBay subsidiary and ticket vendor StubHub created a VR experience to let customers try out their seat before purchasing a ticket.

The technology previews the seat in a 3D-modeled arena and will be accessed from the existing StubHub apps for Android and iOS. The app can be experienced with or without external gear such as Google Cardboard through either a smartphone or tablet. It is currently available for basketball tickets in the University of Phoenix stadium and will soon include additional events and arenas such as baseball games at the AT&T Park, San Francisco.
