A Belgian label has turned one musician's album cover into a one-of-a-kind stone sound model

The album covers of famous bands are often considered iconic, but Belgian artist Thomas Vaquié wanted to capture the image of his sound in a very literal sense: casting the sound waves of his music into concrete.

In conjunction with visual label AntiVJ and Swiss artist Yannick Jacquet, the cover for Vaquié latest album Ecume featured pictures of the album’s tracks in stone. To create this look, Jacquet first put the tracks through a digital visualization tool and then 3D printed the results.
