The typographic piece visualizes the concept of time and change

Nonprofit organization St+art India runs annual street art festivals in the country and as part of this year's festival, DAKU created a typographic sundial. Titled ‘Time changes everything,' it visualized the concept of time by playing with letters and shadows.

Different words were mounted on the wall, which referred to the nature of our lives and the ephemeral nature of street art, such as “memory,” “ideas,” “fortune,” “curiosity,” “perception,” and “meaning.” Each day, the piece of art would cast a shadow that evolved throughout the day as the sun moved across the sky, with the words being clearly legible at 12pm and slowly fading as it sets.
