How An Unfunded Kickstarter Project Is Already Being Sold In Stores
These fancy brass poo sculptures are now available for retail
Artist Matthew LaPenta has been making emoji sculptures from brass for a while now and he’s finally making miniatures that are more affordable. If you’ve ever had the desire to own mini poo emojis measuring 2.8 inches tall in hefty metal alloys now is the time. The unfunded Kickstarter project has found a retailer to support it in advance of reaching its $41,000 crowdfunding goal.
The project has struck a deal with New York’s The New Stand, a conceptual update of the city’s omnipresent newsstand designed to blend physical stores with digital media platforms. This concept store will soon let customers try out crowdfunded products even before they are fully funded and available for mass retail.
