Bentley And Pantone Team Up For ‘Colors Of The Year’ Convertibles
The ultra-upscale car company and color authority produced two Continental GT's in shades of Rose Quartz and Serenity
Leading luxury car manufacturer Bentley, in partnership with worldwide color experts Pantone, has unveiled two special edition Continental GT V8 Convertibles dressed in each of Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year, in honor of the reopening of Bentley’s flagship dealership in Frankfurt, Germany.
The respective paint shades—Rose Quartz (Pantone 13-1520) and Serenity (Pantone 15-3919)—mark the first time in history that Pantone has chosen the blending of two colors as its Color of the Year recipient.
According to the company, when mixed together these hues “challenge traditional perceptions of color association (…) this more unilateral approach to color is coinciding with societal movements towards gender equality and fluidity, and a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged.”
