Browser Extension Blocks Any Pages That Make You Unhappy

The software can detect your facial movements and prevent content that brings up negative emotions

A Chrome browser extension called Blissify will block any webpage that makes you unhappy. The extension uses your webcam to monitor your facial expressions in real-time—and matches it to an appropriate emoji. When it detects your mood lowering, Blissify will hide the webpage you’re viewing and add it to a personal block list. You’ll be asked to do a mood calibration after your first time running the extension to determine your “neutral browsing expression.” You can then adjust the sensitivity of the app to find the perfect filtering level.
