In Brief

Nixie is a wearable quadcopter that can record video or take perfectly-framed still photos

Nixie is a new wearable camera attached to a lightweight quadcopter that can take off from a person’s wrist and take photos or video of its owner.

Taking off from the user’s arm like a falcon, then returning with a payload of freshly captured images, the Nixie makes the selfie stick look like, well, a stick.

The product, which is still in early development, was conceived by company cofounders Christoph Kohstall, a former Stanford physics researcher, and Jelena Jovanovic, a former engineering lead at Google.
