Garmin Wants To Help You Keep Track Of Fellow Cyclists
Stay connected with up to 50 riders in a 10-mile radius
Tech company Garmin has announced two new GPS cycling computers, the Edge 820 and Edge Explore 820, which offer comprehensive ride data, bike-specific navigation and a new GroupTrack feature. This enables riders to easily stay connected with family and friends, and keep tabs on everyone in their group in case they get separated. When paired with a compatible smartphone, the feature can keep track of up to 50 riders and allows tracking for up to a 10-mile radius.
GroupTrack lets cyclists keep in touch with others in their pack, offering enhanced situational awareness by allowing them to ride at their own pace while seeing where fellow riders are, so if one person falls out of sight they don’t fall off the device’s map.
