Garmin’s New Smartwatch Is Challenging The Luxury Market
The brand adds a premium version of its popular multi-sport trainer to its accessories collection
There are two camps in the smartwatch market: first there are the smartphone makers that focus on design and functionality in hopes to dominate the market, and then there are the tech and sports-focused watch brands with experience in that realm that also want a spot at the top.
Garmin just announced the fēnix Chronos, a high-end version of the fēnix 3 HR that combines a durable and fashionable metal housing with the latest smartwatch technology. The watch is available in three versions to suit different styles: titanium with a brushed titanium band, steel with a brushed stainless steel band and steel with a vintage leather band. Additionally, each watch comes with an interchangeable silicone sport band.
