The space utilizes surplus fruits and vegetables from supermarkets for its free weekly dinners

The Visionary Kitchen is a volunteer organization that hosts weekly free dinners for up to 10 guests using food waste that has reached its sell-by date. What started out as an exclusive invite-only dinner night for friends later became an open kitchen to help fight the growing food surplus problem in Denmark.

The founder Jan Martin Ahlers, who is also the founder of Project 1 Million, knew that he had to do something to help tackle the food waste problem. He reached out to local supermarkets Lovbjerg and SuperBrugsen and proposed to help with their food surplus.
