These unique and intricate creations are carefully sketched, cut and put together

Raya Sader Bujana, a paper artist in Barcelona, showed off her one-of-a-kind talent through her Limited Edition Paper Olympics sculptures. The collection includes sports like tennis, volleyball, cycling, gymnastics and others.

The project all started when Raya Sader Bujana collaborated with photographer Garcia Mendez to create paper sculptures with the Olympics theme. She sketched her ideas and focused on specific poses. Given her architecture background, Bujana used a serial planes technique that allowed her to use paper to represent texture, light, volume and movement. All the sculptures are made of more than 150 pieces of paper and over 500 mm separators. It wasn’t an easy feat but Bujana did a spectacular job with it.
