Airforable lets customers pay for airline tickets on a layaway plan to make travel more accessible

Traveling to tropical, romantic, and adventurous locales can be expensive and daunting for travelers. Airforable makes dream trips a reality by allowing you to pay for your ticket in smaller payments before departure.

Launched in 2015, the booking company allows people to put their airline tickets on a layaway plan. First, customers upload a screenshot of their desired flight taken from any popular travel site containing information about the proposed airport, airline, time and date of travel. From there, the website calculates how much the customer will need to deposit in order to secure the tickets, typically around a third of the ticket’s full price. Finally, a payment schedule is set, with payments being made right up to the departure date. Once all the payments are made, the ticket is delivered electronically to the booker.
