Ad-targeting tech identifies the make, model and color of stationary automobiles

Car manufacturer Renault has revealed its new advertising campaign for the all new Renault Megane that targets drivers with customized messages while they’re stationary at traffic lights. It uses pioneering vehicle recognition technology developed by advertising specialist Ocean, with cameras identifying the make, model and color. Messages are then displayed in real-time, based on specific audience demographics and data relevant to their vehicle.

This campaign, based on the popular car journey game I-Spy, is live in London at the Holland Park Roundabout, with plans to install it in other UK cities including Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
