The apparel includes solar panels that allow the wearer to stay connected through the power of renewable energy

Dutch fashion designer Pauline van Dongen‘s latest design, a water-resistant windbreaker, doesn’t just protect its wearer from the elements, it can also charge your phone or GPS device while you’re on the go.

The design marks a gender neutral update to a solar-powered dress designed by van Dongen that was introduced several years ago. The jacket features recycled denim yarn, with three flexible solar panels incorporated into its front, allowing the wearer to use a backpack without impeding its device-charging capabilities. The solar panels are connected to an internal power bank.
