Airbnb’s Tokyo HQ Lets Employees Feel Like They Can Work From Anywhere
This office design allows employees to travel the world just by going from room-to-room
Airbnb, the vacation-rental marketplace, has reimagined their Tokyo headquarters to align more closely with the company ethos ‘belong anywhere.’ The old Shinjuku building was completely knocked down and replaced with a new structure. Tasked with making the office more intimately connected to Japanese culture, the local interior design office Suppose Office Design decided to focus on conveying neighborhood, community and urban tranquility throughout the space. Employees are meant to feel like the space allows them to travel the world and work from anywhere.
