The new feature is part of a campaign from Fandango to further imbed social media into the ticket vendor's digital presence

Fandango, the vendor which sells movie tickets both online and over the phone, launched a feature that allows its users to buy movie tickets directly on the film’s Facebook page. The new ticketing feature, currently available for select films, gives Facebookers another reason not to leave their newsfeed. 

According to Fandango, the implementation of Facebook was an appeal to a younger, tech-savvy market who want their systems streamlined. This model also proves beneficial for Hollywood, which is focusing on social media ad campaigns to reach more viewers.
