The 2016 Spring/Summer New York Fashion Week yielded an eco-friendly collaboration between Heron Preston and the Department of Sanitation of New York (DSNY). Dubbed “UNIFORM,” Heron Preston‘s presentation featured garments appropriated from the city’s sanitation workers including long sleeve cottons, crewnecks and windbreakers of solid greens and orange hues. Preston’s embroideries and prints proudly portray DSNY’s sigil and lettering, bringing a clean 80’s flair to a classic blue collar uniform.
