A new app allows designers to bring real life inspiration to their blueprints

Morpholio, the collection of design apps for digital architects, introduced an additional set of tools to its Trace iOS application. Aptly named Stencil, the toolkit allows users to create graphics from physical objects to apply to their own blueprints and drawings.

This update to the Trace app furthers Morpholio's goal of combining technological accessibility with the analog approach of drawing by hand. The process is simple: take a photo, adjust the contrast and watch as the image is compiled to a library of stencils. Stencil also comes with a set preconfigured designs and symbols. Trace is free to download, with a subscription fee for additional features.
