The mobile advertisements are GPS-triggered, offering location-specific information for surrounding motorists

German company RoadAds interactive has partnered with Visionect, a digital signage brand, to offer truckside ads with location-specific features that update constantly depending on where the driver is traveling.

Potential uses of the ads, which are much more flexible than standard, static side-of-the-road billboards, range from displaying instructions on how to get to a nearby restaurant to providing drivers with information on traffic conditions.

For advertisers, the benefits are clear: the percentage of consumers who can recall seeing a mobile billboard is significantly higher than the percentage who remember a traditional one.
