Thanks to a new partnership between the ride sharing service and Budweiser, drunk passengers are able to receive free rides

Lyft , the popular transportation network, is partnering up with Budweiser to send a message against drunk driving. The Lyft app is designed to conveniently find drivers who can take you to your destination, much like Uber. Lasting through the end of the year, the partnership is offering 80,000 free Lyft rides to those passengers who have had too much to drink.

The promotion will be running during holidays and weekends on “peak party hours” in New York, Illinois, Colorado and Florida. Here is how it works: each Thursday at 2:00 pm, Budweiser will reveal a code, then the first 5,000 passengers to use it in the Lyft app that week will receive a $10.00 credit for their ride. The credit can only be redeemed between the hours of 10pm and 2am Friday and Saturday.
