The retail locations include washing machines and dryers that give fresh life to previously-owned products

Luxury retail brand Hermès has devised an original way for customers to dye their old silk scarves and breathe new life into them. Pop-up laundromats filled with machines named HermèsMatics have launched in multiple locations. The orange spaces are filled with washing machines that will turn a scarf's color from denim blue to fuchsia pink. The scarf is then placed in a dryer so it regains its softness. Wait time is 48 hours, and once repainted the scarf is folded and wrapped in a paper bag.
