Hiking Boots Will Vibrate To Give You GPS Directions
The Bluetooth-enabled footwear will help ensure you're never lost
Hi-Tec, a sportswear brand from the Netherlands, has created a pair of hiking boots that will vibrate to tell you which way to turn. The Navigator boots link up with a smartphone app from Lechal, a company that specializes in wearable tech footwear, and uses Bluetooth to give GPS directions. Navigation pods in each insole will vibrate to tell you which way to turn.
Other vibration patterns will announce when you’ve veered off track, or when you’ve arrived at your destination. The app will also offer fitness features, like setting goals or custom workouts. The boots are also equipped with sturdy soles and waterproof and dirt resistant treatment.
Just make sure you don’t venture so deep into the wild that you lose cell signal. The boots retails for £230, or about $300.
