The social network is launching a new employment placement service for hopeful candidates

Career networking site LinkedIn has launched Placements: standardized tests that job seekers in India can take to qualify for tech jobs at companies like Amazon, HCL, Samsung, and LinkedIn itself. The LinkedIn test will offer practice and learning materials to help candidates prepare for the test. Test questions are grouped by difficulty, and recruiters will be able to search for job candidates by their performance levels on different sections of the test.LinkedIn will recruit new talent for growing its Placement team exclusively through the platform. Although the feature currently only caters to tech jobs, the company has plans to expand Placements to other fields in the future. Placements is meant to offer opportunities to students in smaller towns and cities, even those without a college degree, though how well a standardized test will really measure job success remains to be seen.
