500px has released a new piece of software called RAW, which has an 'assignments' feature that provides alerts about available jobs nearby

Photo-sharing service 500px recently launched a new mobile app to help serve the needs of its professional photography audience. The app offers an editing tool in conjunction with a way to license images through the company’s custom photography service. The new app called RAW lets photographers shoot and edit high-quality photos in raw format.

The new app offers a variety of editing tools like hue, saturation and luminance, as well as the ability to create custom filters. A section called “Assignments” will alert photographers who opt-in about photo jobs nearby. 500px is working in partnership with companies such as Airbnb, Google and Lonely Planet to fuel the Assignment functionality which will connect its 8 million users to on-demand jobs.
