Photoshop-integrated plug-in lets you search through an entire database of licensed artwork without having to leave the program

Online image database Shutterstock is putting an end to searching the web for stock art and images with a new plugin for photo editing software Adobe Photoshop. The ad-on directly integrates with Photoshop, allowing users to search, purchase, and download licensed artwork without ever having to leave the program. Increased efficiency isn’t the only innovation on hand, however.

Users will have instant access to Shutterstock’s entire searchable database of images, as well as curated collections from which to draw inspiration. Moreover, artists can download and play with any watermarked as free, until they get their image just right. Once they decide to purchase a license, all of their edits are immediately repeated on the original, full-resolution and unmarked image.
