Practice limbing trees against a gorgeous backdrop in this virtual experience designed by Swedish chainsaw company Husqvarna

Have you always wanted to experience the life of a lumberjack? Swedish chainsaw brand Husqvarna and creative agency DigitasLBi Nordics have created a virtual reality game that will let you do just that. Limberjack will let you chop off branches of a tree using a Husqvarna chainsaw in a race against time, against a backdrop of a glossy lake and snowy mountains.

To create the game, DigitasLBi Nordics actually spent time with Swedish loggers to learn the mechanics of limbing, and had real lumberjacks try out the VR game to see if it felt realistic. Video game controllers are quite different from heavy chainsaws, of course, but some players got to try a more realistic version of the game at the International Associations Championship in Poland, using game controllers attached to actual chainsaws.
