The airline's new app allows customers to see exactly where their baggage is throughout their journey

If you’ve ever lost baggage during a busy day of traveling due to delays or other issues, you know the frustration of not knowing exactly where your bag is. To help track luggage, Delta seeks to puts its customers’ minds at ease with an update to its app.

In the latest version of its app, the airline gives flyers the option to check-in on mobile and keep an eye on where their bags are. Customers can scan their bag tag or enter it in manually to see where the bag’s RFID was last scanned. It may not be as accurate as having GPS, but it will help customers get some peace of mind and let them know if their luggage is following them on their journey. The tag system currently works in 84 airports across the United States.
