These unique pods would allow guests to visit a variety of locales over a period of several days

Architecture and engineering firm HOK has revealed its vision for a drone-powered hotel dubbed “driftscape” that will allow its inhabitants to use a unique mobile hotel room as their home base while they visit a variety of different locations.

The self-sustaining hotels will be made up of several elements, including the “driftcraft,” an autonomous pod that provides guests with 360-degree views of its surroundings, and the “oasis,” where the pods can dock to refuel with amenities. The pods are designed to accommodate two guests at a time and will support excursions of two to three days before they must return to the oasis.
