In Brief

The new company communication software combines social networking with inner-office messaging

Facebook is a platform that is constantly growing and trying to gain a footing in almost every market. So it’s not surprising that Workplace is its entry into the world of intra-company communications, meaning you can stop feeling so guilty for checking your account while at work.

Workplace is based on the internal social system used by the Facebook employees, and have been testing the software with 1,000 organizations over the last year. In many ways, it is just like having Facebook—there’s chat, trending topics, news, and live video—but it also has analytics and extra security features as well as channels for inter-company communications in times of collaboration.
