Hand-Blown Decanters Mimic Veins And Roots
Artist Etienne Meneau has created a new series that blends natural and human body parts in new forms
It is not uncommon to see a household that utilizes their alcohol collection as part of a home’s aesthetics. Wine bottles and wine glasses symbolize class and look beautiful almost anywhere. Artist Etienne Meneau recognized this and goes further to create and interpret wine decanters in a new way.
Labeled his “Strange Carafes” collection, all hand-blown decanters are sculpted into forms resembling hearts, roots and even blood veins. Some are created purely for aesthetic pleasure, while others are beautifully crafted and serve their main purpose as a wine dispenser. This whole collection is a fusion of nature and geometric design. Not to mention that almost every container can fit exactly one bottle of wine.
