Visitors at the Paris Motor Show were equipped with a special device that translated brainwaves into control over the vehicle

Automaker Opel offered visitors of the Paris Motor Show a surprise at its stand: a car that can be started using your mind. Partnering with digital agency Tips Tank, the brand created an experience called ‘Opel Mind.’  Visitors were invited to make themselves comfortable in a chair with a headset attached, enabling them to control the vehicle in front of them. The headset measured brain activity and communicated with the Opel Astra, which was equipped with a special device that started when given the signal. Increasing certain brainwaves would trigger the device and turn the vehicle’s engine on.
