Private Communication App Taps Into The Power Of The ‘Like'
Wire is a messaging platform that provides a secure messaging service for users
Wire, a communication platform, is introducing ‘likes' to its messaging app. Now, every user will be able to like anything they receive from one-on-one and group conversations from within the private communication app.
The ‘like'—a web stamp of approval made popular by Facebook, Twitter and Instagram—is a curious success. It’s easy and free to give out, and admittedly feels like a small pat on the back when you're on the receiving end.
The ad-free, always-secure, chat, video and voice call platform rolled out the feature to serve as a quick positive reaction to messages by friends. Aside from working with regular messages, likes can also be given to links, photos, video and anything that can be sent via the app. It will be interesting to see how ‘likes' impact private conversations.
