The Solo by Uniform is equipped with facial recognition AI that will find the perfect soundtrack for your temperament

Creative design agency Uniform has created a radio that will read your facial expressions and play songs that match your mood. Solo Radio uses facial recognition software to evaluate your mood: the circular screen at its center has a camera that will photograph your face, and then send it to a Microsoft program to analyze your expression.  It will find an appropriate song to play using Spotify’s music valence ratings. Meanwhile, the face on the screen will change expressions to match yours. Mike Shorter, senior creative technologist at Uniform, explained to It’s Nice That: “when you try Solo, you think not only about how technology is changing, but more importantly, how its relationship with us is changing.”
