The Simpsons is one of TV’s longest running shows, one which adapts its jokes to modern situations, news items and technology. To celebrate their 600th episode, which also happens to be their 27th installment of their Treehouse of Horror Halloween series, they created their first VR couch gag. The Simpsons VR presents the Halloween-themed couch gag Planet of the Couches, a parody of the famous Charlton Heston film Planet of the Apes.

Fans can view the VR version that has two minutes of extra content by downloading the Google Spotlight Stories, available for free on iOS and Android. If you don’t have Google Cardboard, you can see still see the gag through the app by moving your phone around to see the different parts of the animation. The short will only be available for a limited time, so those wishing to experience the first Simpsons couch gag in the world of VR should do so soon.
