Farmhouse Market in New Prague, Minnesota gives customers all-day access to the unmanned grocery store

Locally sourced, organic fruits and vegetables can be expensive, and difficult to come by in rural areas. However, a supermarket in New Prague, Minnesota is looking to change that, and it’s doing so by doing without a staff (or close to it).

Farmhouse Market is a 24/7 automated market with no cashiers or all day staff. Members have keycard access to the building at all times, and with self-checkout stations, they have access to fresh produce all day and night. The store has cameras to ensure no one is stealing, and members have to sign an agreement as well as pay $99 for their first year of membership, which goes down to $20 a year afterwards.
